Free Design for Outdoor Cabinet New Order

In fiber projects, many contractors face the same problem: the client knows what they want, but the design files are missing. Sometimes all you get is a picture, a sketch, or a simple request — and you still need to deliver a complete solution on time.

This was exactly the case for one of our partners, a contractor working on a local FTTH project. They came to HiFTTH with a request for a new outdoor cabinet design. What they gave us was very limited: one photo of the outdoor cabinet, one photo of the ODF unit, and one hand-drawn sketch of the internal layout. With only these three references, they asked for a customized cabinet solution, fast.

Clear Needs, But No Full Design

The customer’s request was clear enough:

The cabinet should have front double doors, with 28U space on each side.

Inside, it needed to hold six 144-core ODF unit boxes and three 48-core ODF unit boxes.

It had to meet outdoor standards: waterproof, dustproof, and anti-theft.

For easier field work, the cable entry holes were placed at the front bottom of the cabinet, so cables could be pulled in directly.

Inside, patch cords and bare fibers from the incoming/outgoing cables were managed in separate areas, so the work would be clear and safe, with less chance of rework.

In short, the idea was clear — but there were no design files, no drawings, no ready-to-produce details. For a contractor, this usually means wasted time, delays, or even risk of losing a bid.

HiFTTH Solution: From Sketch to Sample

This is where our experience made the difference. With over 19 years in fiber products, our team could quickly understand the need and turn it into a real design.

We broke the process into two fast steps:

In 18 days, we finished the 3D design model and drawings, based only on the photos and sketch. The customer could clearly see how the cabinet would look and how everything would fit inside.

In 15 more days, we completed the sample production, tested it in-house, and made sure it met the outdoor requirements.

During the design, we always kept the contractor’s reality in mind:

Simple cable routing, to save time during installation.

Easy steps for assembly, so no need for highly skilled workers on site.

Clear separation of functional areas, so later maintenance would be faster and safer.

The final sample was delivered without any need for rework. The contractor could directly use it for project evaluation and tender submission.

Customer Feedback: Helping Contractors Win

Even though the project has not yet moved into mass production or site installation, the customer gave very positive feedback. They said that the design files and sample from HiFTTH helped them pass their tender documents smoothly and saved them valuable preparation time.

For contractors, this is critical. Speed and accuracy often decide whether you win a bid or not. A supplier who can turn a rough sketch into a working solution makes a big difference.

From Photos to Real Products

This case shows one clear message: even if all you have is one photo of a cabinet, one photo of a unit, and a hand-drawn sketch, HiFTTH can still create a full solution — from design to sample — in a short time.

Whether you have full design files or just a simple drawing, our team can provide free design support at the early stage. From design and sample to final mass production, HiFTTH helps contractors save time, lower risks, and deliver projects with confidence.
